Tools of the Trade

BizTender works with anything that has an internet connection. Computers, tablets, phones–really whatever you have or want to use for your system.

Besides the Point of Sale itself, there are also devices like barcode scanners with or without RFID support, cash drawers, scales, receipt printers, label printers, wireless routers, displays, cases, or even check-in kiosks.

Whatever your business needs, we are here to help guide you and help set everything up if you need it.

Stand-alone Point of Sales

We can integrate with any hardware with an open SDK.

Our developers are currently working on testing the ELO ETT10I1 PayPoint All-in-One Point of Sale Platform for Apple-iPad.

Terminal

We have designed the system to work with modern touchscreens and barcode scanners in mind. BizTender also works great with a keyboard and mouse. Anything from a custom table in a display or an iMac on the counter. As long as you have access to a modern browser you will be fine.

We do not recommend anything older than 2 years, but we have had no problem running it on devices 8+ years old in testing. Our system will also work on a phone but would be much easier on a tablet or larger screen device.

Receipt Printers

We recommend you use receipt printers that can print HTML based pages.

Cash Drawer

Really almost any cash drawer will do. Most cash drawers need to be connected to the receipt printer to open automatically. Otherwise, you’ll need to manually open the drawer via the included key.

Barcode Scanner

How fancy you go with the barcode reader is up to you. If you are a grower or running a single vertical, we recommend looking into something that supports RFID. This will save you a tremendous amount of time and you can check entire rooms without ever touching a plant.

Scales

Scale integration is something we have looked at and if enough clients request this feature, we will move it higher on the list.

We recommend checking with the state you are licensed in to see which scales they have certified “safe to use”.

Our system will provide a large number input screen with decimal support.

Displays

Any TV you can mount on the wall and has an open HDMI port will do. How do you get the menu, waiting queue, or promotional ads to show up on the TV you might ask? That’s a great question. We use the power of technology!
